School Choice Lottery Application Schedule for SY2012-2013

Dear Families,
Thank you for your interest in Woodstock's Mandarin Immersion Program for the 2012-2013 school year. We're excited to announce the dates for the School Choice Lottery Application Cycle, Optional School Tour, and Mandatory Informational Meeting. Please note that ALL families interested in the Mandarin Immersion Program for their entering Kindergartners MUST apply through the School Choice Lottery.
APPLICATION CYCLE
The lottery will open on Friday, February 10, 2012 and close on Friday, March 9, 2012.
MANDATORY INFORMATIONAL MEETING
Mandatory Informational Meetings (MIMs) will be held on the following dates. Each family must attend *one* in order for their application to be considered complete. Only families with children already in the Mandarin Immersion Program are exempt from this meeting.
- Tuesday, February 14 - 9:30-10:30 a.m. No children, please.
- Wednesday, March 7 - 6:00-7:00 p.m. *Childcare provided on this date ONLY*
- Wednesday, March 14 - 9:30-10:30 a.m. No children, please.

APPLICATION FORMS
Application forms will be available starting on February 10. You must complete all of the following:
- The district application form will be on the School Choice website at
http://www.schoolchoice.pps.k12.or.us/ - The Woodstock School application packet will be in our main office at
5601 SE 50th Ave, Portland, OR 97206.
Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
***Please note that the PPS School Choice application must be turned in to the district. Online applications are tracked with the fastest processing time (be sure to click Submit!). All other paperwork must be turned in to Woodstock Elementary's Secretary.***
OPTIONAL SCHOOL TOUR
School tours will be held on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., during the Lottery Transfer Cycle:
- February 14 (Tuesday) Full
- February 22 (Wednesday)
- February 28 (Tuesday)
- March 7 (Wednesday)
Space on the tours may be limited. Beginning Friday, February 10, 2012, you may sign up for tours using the Visit Request Form for Parents/Guardians - RESERVED for School Choice 2012-2013. No children, please.
Please note that during the School Choice Lottery Application Cycle, our school tours are reserved for families applying for the 2012-2013 school year. All other families are asked to sign up for one of the available monthly school tours outside of the Lottery Application Cycle.
