The computerized cataloging system sends overdue notices to families who have e-mail addressed registered with the district. Sometimes the book is still in the classroom, and the librarian is aware of this. We do not levy overdue fines.
However, lost books do need to be replaced and students will be charged for the cost of replacement. If the replacement fee for a lost book is not paid before the end of the school year, the child may not be issued a year end report card.
