 WELCOME TO SCHOOL YEAR 3.0...

      This is the third year of middle school for parents and students both.  By now you're familiar with most of the elements for success in any classroom.  Students, please plan to come prepared physically and mentally every day.  Come with a writing stick that works and bring your Daily Folder--the Duotang-style folder you were asked to purchase for school--every day after we assemble it in class during the first week.  Plan to come with a reading book;  you'll have some time to explore your own materials. Come with a good attitude for learning, and be humble:  I assume we're all looking for answers, and we're all interested in developing our skills.   Eighth grade is an exciting year:  a wonderful year in which to ask questions, to try new activities and ideas, to make a statement about who you are and what you want to be.  Avoid the patterns of the past and seek success.  Work. Learn. Try.  Succeed....and enjoy.  I look forward to getting to know all of you.  Join me in the excellent work of assembling your finest school year so far.
