Why I Teach: I just plain enjoy working with students. I have worked with students for 35 years from the kinder level to high school. Also at night I work with the Community College and have the opportunity to work with students of college age to adults of 80 years old.
What I Believe: What I notice is if I get excited about my lesson the students see that and it becomes infectious and students get motivated and become more involved in the lesson also. Also each age level has their particular skills and it is challenging to find how to meet the academic needs of all students
My Favorite Things: I enjoy indoor activities such as sewing , refinishing furniture, and reading. In the summer and on nicer days I walk, bike or hike and camp and just being out in nature and enjoying it.
How I help every student succeed: I am trying to break lessons into comprehensible parts, so that students get the most out or the lesson. Enabling them to move on to the next level weather it be in speaking , reading or writing or comprehension.
