Ms. Lovely's Second Grade News

GRANDPARENTS and SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY this Friday 10/21/11 from 1 -2pm! We hope to see you there. PASSPORT CLUB: We have decided to visit the continent of Europe first this year. The countries the students will be quizzed on are: Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The challenge countries are Spain and Finland. Switzerland is the super challenge country. Remember, all students need to name the seven continents and the four oceans before they name countries in Europe. Thanks and good luck! DAILY WORK: You will see the daily work come home in your child's backpack a couple times during the week. If the work is not complete please ask your child about it and ask them to complete it. Thanks! They are all working on staying focused and engaged during work time.

Homework

The students receive homework every Monday. It is due back to school each Friday. Additionally, please make sure your student reads for atleast 20 minutes each night. Thanks! Students with unfinished homework, or daily work, spend time during Friday Free Choice completing their work.

Character Trait of the month - During September we focused on respect, what it means and how you show it. Now in October we are focusing on diligence. Investing all our energy to complete the tasks assigned. Diligent students finish their work and produce quality work.
