Why I am a Principal: I absolutely love working with children. I spent the first fifteen years teaching in the classroom and the last fourteen plus years as an elementary school principal. Watching children learn is as exciting for me today as it was when I started almost thirty years ago. Teaching is a career where you can see the efforts of your hard work pay off each day.
What I Believe: I know without a doubt that all children can learn. Every child comes with a variety of strengths and at times some challenges. It is our job as educators to take each child where they enter and move them to greatness. For some the road is easy and for some they struggle each day to just gain a little ground. What matters is that all of us keep moving forward. Our students can and will succeed with our help.
My Favorite Things: I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I especially enjoy spending time with my three-year old granddaughter.
P.S.: It is a privilege to work with the students and the families of the Rosa Parks School Community. It is a community with heart. I have come to love and appreciate this community and the rich diversity, culture and customs that they bring to Rosa Parks.
