Our Mission Statement
The mission of the Roosevelt High School library media program is to promote literacy and ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The school library exists to empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information. Our primary purpose is to support the academic and personal development of lifelong learners and enlivened, engaged citizens. In addition, we posit the library as the vital literary arts center of the school.
Favorite endorsement: Kayla Peabody, an RHS Freshman, says she was thinking of going back to school in WA, but she won't because of the library. "This is the best school library I've ever had!" she quipped.
