  • 13- Last day of school!!!!


Kindergarten Events

Please join us for an evening of fun, food and information! Incoming Kindergarten parents and students will have the opportunity to meet some of our staff, KG teachers and other new families. The event will be held in the school cafeteria on Thursday, June 5th at 6:00PM. Hope to see you all there!!! 

Also, registration packets will be available to pick up. You can turn them in in our main office office any school day between 8:00AM-3:30PM.

Race Talks tackles police shootings

Race Talks returns Nov. 18 with a localized discussion stemming from the police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. 


Students get to be makers for a day

Career coordinators, school counselors, WorkSystems Inc. and industry partners are to thank for helping get PPS students to graduation prepared for college and career with such events as Oregon Manufacturing Day Oct. 3 


Second annual Children's Book Harvest to begin in November

October 23, 2014
James John students enjoy books they chose during last year's Children's Book Harvest distribution. Portland Public Schools, the Children's Book Bank and the Portland Council PTA are teaming up again this year to encourage Portlanders citywide to recycle children's book and get them to children in need.
