Kindergarten Events

Please join us for an evening of fun, food and information! Incoming Kindergarten parents and students will have the opportunity to meet some of our staff, KG teachers and other new families. The event will be held in the school cafeteria on Thursday, June 5th at 6:00PM. Hope to see you all there!!! 

Also, registration packets will be available to pick up. You can turn them in in our main office office any school day between 8:00AM-3:30PM.

Achievement progress affirms PPS focus

October 17, 2014

Portland Public Schools exceeded attendance targets and nearly hit its graduation target, while falling short in third grade reading, ninth grade credits earned and the five-year high school completion rate, affirming the priorities Superintendent Carole Smith's set this fall.


School board declines to set achievement targets in areas measured by new state tests

The Portland School Board unanimously approved a PPS committee recommendation Oct. 14 that the district not set state Achievement Compact Targets for 2014-15 in areas that would be measured by the new Smarter Balanced tests until the reliability and validity of the new tests is established and districts have baseline data on this new assessment. PPS bond development committee recommends high schools

October 14, 2014
Benson Polytechnic High School is one of the three high schools recommended for the planned 2016 bond. The PPS Bond Development Committee (BDC) delivered its recommendations for the high schools to be included in the planned 2016 & 2020 school improvement bonds.
