Peninsula School Garden is a student-run, all organic, home-based garden. Through Sun School's Environmental Science class, students participate in garden-based activities and learning opportunities year round. To donate garden supplies or volunteer to help maintain the garden beds, please contact Rebecca Gregor, Rachel Elder or Loran Starr.
Green School

Peninsula School works hard to maintain our status as an Oregon Green School!
At Peninsula:
- All classrooms have recycling bins for paper
- School wide access to plastic, glass, ink/toner, and battery recycling
- Students practice recycling principles during lunchtime, by minimalizing and sorting waste
- Students participate in the end of the year "Great Locker Clean-out" to reuse and donate used school supplies
- All classrooms have access to garden-based learning and environmental educational opportunities
- The offer of sustainability classes through Sun School, after school program
- Participation in the district Electricity Reduction Incentive Program for 2011
- All toilets have dual-flush, water saving capabilities
- Teachers and staff work hard to teach and promote positive sustainable practices
