Welcome to Ms. Collins' 8th grade Social Studies and Language Arts. Throughout the 8th grade year, students prepare for high school and college by engaging in rigorous writing, reading, and thinking projects.
Every day is a moment to improve our reading, writing, and thinking. Continually working to improve these skills enhances our communication with one another, and ultimately will strengthen our community.
Ms. Collins' class is committed to developing strong readers, effective writers, and critical thinkers. We, as a class, strive to become great readers, writers and thinkers through hard work, as well as meeting each day with a commitment to learning.
Along with working hard in the classroom, Ms. Collins acknowledges the importance of building a cohesive team between students, teachers, parents, and families. Together we can create the most successful and dynamic educational experience possible for our children.
