This is my 31st year working as a Speech/Language Pathologist and my 26th year in PPS. I have been at Peninsula for 17 years - 9 years with the PPS Head Start Program and 8 years with school age students. My interests vary but I love to spend time with my family, travel, and, read. I earned both my undergraduate and Master's degrees in Speech Pathology at Washington State University.
Two random fun facts - 1) My husband and I are both SLP's and we met on our first job in Eastern Oregon, and 2) We have twin sons.
My favorite teaching moment(s) are working with the children and seeing them grow from day to day, week to week, month to month, or year to year. To see the hard work and practice that each student puts forth which turns into them using correct speech sounds so that they can be better understood, use better language skills that help them in the classroom, or, use language to communicate for the first time, whether it's verbally or using pictures. It's awesome.
