Thank you for visiting my website. I still remember telling my mom as a freshman in high school that I wanted to be a teacher. From that point on, I never wanted to do anything else. After graduating from the University of California at Berkley in 2001, I attended graduate school at the University of Amsterdam and the Free University in Berlin. I was also an instructor at the Free University. After four years living in Europe, I decided to move to Portland and attend Lewis & Clark's Education Program in 2005.
I have been teaching at Ockley Green for four years. After completing my student teaching practicum here in 2006, I was fortunate enough to have been hired that same year. I currently teach all subjects in a contained 5th grade classroom, and I have also taught Language Arts and Social Studies at the 6th grade level. My primary goal as a teacher is to help bring out every students' strengths and help them improve in any area where they struggle. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach toward students. Therefore, I am very flexible and willing to do what is needed to ensure that all students are successful.
