Chief Joseph/Ockley Green Updates

May 29- ESL Family Night 6:30PM-8PM at Ockley Green: This is a time when our families from diverse language backgrounds can be involved in the latest conversations about the transition.

June 4- Campus Visits: This is a time when students from Ockley Green who will be in grades K-3 next year can visit the Chief Joseph campus and students from Chief Joseph who will be in grades 4th-6th grade next year will visit the Ockley Green campus. Students will receive a tour and interact with the students and teachers from our partner campus. During the evening, there will be a K-3 Open House 6PM-7PM at Chief Joseph School. This includes a popsicle social and tour.

School Board adopts budget for 2013-14 school year and Affirmative Action policy

June 18, 2013
On June 17 the Portland School Board formally adopted a $487 million budget for the 2013-14 school year, by a vote of 6-0. The board had previously approved the budget in May. The budget adds teachers district-wide, prioritizes equity in allocating staff to schools, and allows high school students to take full course loads. [More]

Community advisory group meets to plan Roosevelt High School rebuild
