I love living in Portland and I consider myself very fortunate to be able to experience the entire range of age levels from Kindergarten to Twelfth grade as I teach Physical Education here at MLC. We get to have fun through this whole spectrum of ages while learning about (and practicing) fitness skills.
When I am not at MLC, I can be found teaching Tuesday afternoons at Multnomah University or at home with my Math-teacher husband, 17 year old daughter and 9 year old Rag Doll cat named Cyrus. We have a 24 year old son working as an accountant for a non-profit in Seattle's inner city, and a newly married 22 year old son also working in Seattle.
If you find yourself wondering what we are currently learning in Physical Education Class, ask your student or email me to hear firsthand. We are all set to begin another active year and ask you to partner with me by encouraging your student to come prepared on PE days for movement; especially with supportive foot wear. While "Toms" are a wonderful charitable company, their footwear is not sufficiently sturdy for our Physical Education Class activities. Tennis shoes or something comparable that allows for safe, non-skid movement are most desirable.
Please feel free to contact me and let me know how I can help your child to succeed in Physical Education Class this year.
