Sandra Tetzloff

Hi, I'm Sandra the School Counselor here at MLC.  People sometimes ask about my background so here it is in a nutshell.  I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a specialization in School Social Work.  I've worked for Portland Public Schools for over 25 years, most of them at MLC.  I am licensed as a School Counselor by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission.

I provide counseling guidance and support to the students in all grades.  My roles vary widely depending on the grade level; from my Yoga Calm guidance in the kindergarten classroom, to assisting seniors with their college applications.   I teach mediation electives and offer a variety of small counseling groups.  Mediations are available when students are having difficulty with their peers and support for students when life's events happen.  I am also available to help locate counseling and other resources in the community.  Parents often contact me to discuss their child's social/emotional concerns.

I can be contacted via phone at 503-916-6434 or by e-mail stetzloff@pps.net
