Marta Berg

What an inspiration to teach Science and Health to MLC high school students. Thank you for sending your students to us! My classes are lab-based and always as hands-on as possible. Also, we often read non-fiction texts to support the curriculum (The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, The Omnivore's Dilemma, and The Weather Makers are a few examples). Students need a total of 3.0 science and 1.0 Health credits throughout their time in high school (each trimester class = 0.5 credits). I will be offering the following courses this year:
Foundations in Physics
Foundations in Chemistry
Biology A: Body Systems
Biology B: Genetics and Evolution
Environmental Science: Field Ecology
Environmental Science: The Earth Inside/Out
Wellness
PDX Pedestrian (Elective)
It's an honor to teach this wonderful group of students! Please feel free to contact me anytime regarding Science, Health, Metro, the Sophomore class, (I am the class advisor), or any high school issues in general. The best way to reach me is by email or at 503-916-5737.
Thank you and be well!
