Greetings to Families of Team Joy,

I'm looking forward to working with your 5th grade child this year. Please note I'm in the building Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 5:00pm. Do not hesitate to call me with any questions or concerns. To reach me you can email me at school, at home, call the school 503.916.6363 x 78113 or call my cell 503.329.3456.

A little about me: I grew up in Seattle and attended Western Washington University where I graduated with a business degree. I spent several years working in hi-tech and during that time got my Masters in Education from Seattle University. In 1994 I moved to Portland. I spent several years at home raising my sons who are now 15 and 17 years old and attend Madison High School. I started my teaching career at Marysville and have taught technology, 4th and and (my favorite!) 5th grade. I love to travel and meet new people, I have two miniature schnauzer dogs, Max and Otto, and I spend a great deal of my free time reading books and watching movies.

Visit my Portaportal site by clicking here. The log-in is 321. You'll find me under Teachers. I have links to a variety of educational games and activities.

The students in our class use Edmodo, a secured social learning network to share news and ask homework questions and of each other. Our group code for Team Joy 2014-15 will be available soon.

Here is to a fabulous new school year!
