Parents
If your family is living:
- In a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground
- On the street
- In an abandoned building, trailer, or other inadequate accommodations, or
- Doubled up with friends or relatives because you cannot find or afford housing
Your Children Have the Right:
- Go to school, no matter where they live or how long that they have lived there
- Continue in the school that they last attended before becoming homeless
- Receive transportation to the school they last attended
- Enroll in school without giving a permanent address
- Enroll & attend classes while the school arranges for the transfer of immunization records or any other documents required for enrollment
These rights are established under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act
