Markham’s Library

Anne Keebaugh, librarian

Markham’s library consists of over 15,000 books and materials. It is open to all students, staff and parents. Students come to the library each week to check out and return books, listen to a story or learn a new skill. All third, fourth and fifth grade students are taught to use the on-line catalog (VIA) to help them locate books to check out. Our library supports the classroom curriculum with time available for research, using computers as well as a large variety of reference materials for hands on learning.

The Markham PTA is a huge support to our library, providing money each year to purchase new books. Markham also has a book fair in the fall to help promote reading and purchase books for the library.

Markham’s library has 10 Macintosh computers and 6 PC computers available for students to use.
