Dear Families,
We have had an amazing week together. I want to thank you for having your children at school and ready for learning at 8! Your children are a delight to work with. They are polite and caring, enthusiastic about learning, inquisitive, eager to share their experiences and knowledge with others and hard workers. I know we are going to have an incredible year together.
Next Tuesday, September 20, at 6:15 you will have the opportunity to come into the classroom and learn about the year ahead. This is a time for parents only. We will spend time talking about and looking at the curriculum and answering questions you have. I hope that you will be able to join me.
The following week on Thursday, September 29, we will have Back To School Night. This evening gives you the opportunity to bring your child back to school and they will show you around the room. It is a very casual event. You may want to bring a picnic dinner and join other families on the field from 5:30-6:30.
Please be aware that next Wednesday is a late opening. The doors will open at 9:50. Staff members will be in meetings until that time.
As the weather begins to cool, and students begin to wear their sweaters and jackets, please take the time to label each one with your child’s name. It is very sad to see the enormous pile of unclaimed clothes that quickly grows each year in the hall. I try very hard to keep track of your children’s coats and having them labeled will be a tremendous help!
We have almost all the paper work turned in. Please try to get all your forms in and the $35 funds for supplies returned by Monday if you haven’t.
Enjoy the weekend.
