In 1992 while I was working as a cook at a restaurant, and after having a terrible day at work I decided to start taking English classes at PCC. I realized that I didn't want to be a cook for the rest of my life. I studied 4 years at PCC because it took me a long time learn English at college level.
My greatest hope is that students will see in me the opportunities this country offers and that it is possible to break the cycle and go to college as long as one works hard and has determination.
