Kelly Gomes
A transplant from Connecticut, I studied at George Washington University, Central Connecticut University, and earned my Masters Degree from Portland State University. I have lived in Portland for 16 years, and create my home here with my two children.
I come to teaching English through writing; I taught creative writing through Saturday Academy and Community of Writers before earning my teaching license, and poetry has always been my language. I enjoy working at Madison because of its diverse voices. My favorite thing about teaching teens is watching them grow into themselves and express themselves creatively.
