I was born and raised in New York City. (I now live in the Madison.) I graduated from St. John's University with a degree in Art Education. I received a Master's Degree in Education from Fordham University. I also have an ESL endorsement from Portland State University. I have been teaching English as a Second Language at Madison since 1988 and am currently the case manager for the ESL program. (I love working with students from different countries in learning about their cultures.) In the past, I was adviser to the Multi-Cultural Club for many years and class adviser. I helped coordinate and assist the ESL students in creating a fantastic Multi-Cultural Show. I currently volunteer scorekeeping for the girls varsity basketball team. "GO SENATORS!"
I love riding my bike to school (when the weather report says 60% chance or less of rain), practicing yoga, walking, knitting, making jewelry, using my digital camera, and cooking with natural and organic food.
