Madison SUN Community School
SUN (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) Community Schools in Multnomah County are full-service neighborhood hubs where the school and partners from across the community come together to make sure students and families have what they need to be successful – in school and in life. Madison’s sponsoring lead agency is the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO).
Madison SUN Community School works to engage the community in a systematic way to educate and support youth and to provide wrap around supports that eliminate barriers to students’ academic success. We provide everything from school supplies to tutoring services, including:

Volunteer with the Food Pantry by helping set up or distribute food on Wednesday evenings.

Family case management is also available for families who need rental or energy assistance, transitional housing, job seeking skills, or food and clothing security. Please contact SUN staff if you would like more information or to see if your child or family is eligible for case management.
Celebrating SUN Students
Huge thanks to the Teen Outreach Program whose students coordinated our Halloween and Dia de los Muertos Celebration 2014!
Students from the TOP program picked pumpkins generously donated by Sauvie Island Farms and planned activities for Madison students and our surrounding community!
