Introducing Madison High School's New Principal: Petra Callin
Petra has been serving as interim principal at Franklin High School
since Principal Shay James took maternity leave in the spring. Prior to
that Petra was Franklin's vice principal for four years. She also has a
strong instructional background in English as a Second Language.
Petra began her career as a teacher in Temirtau, Kazakstan in
1995. She joined PPS in 1998 and has worked as a teacher, TOSA, summer
school principal and high school vice principal.
Petra earned her bachelor's in English from Mills College in
California and her master's in education from Wake Forest University in
North Carolina.
