College Planning Overview

College planning is one of the many counseling services offered through the Counseling Center at Lincoln. Following is an overview of the college preparation and planning process including tips, resources, and timelines. Check back often as information will be updated.

Links and information about SAT and ACT. These contains information about SAT & ACT prep classes, sample SAT tests, schedules, links to the official testing sites, etc.  If you are on free or reduced lunch, please check with your counselor as you may be eligible for fee waivers for the SAT, ACT and college applications.

Naviance is the KEY informational tool for college planning offered by Lincoln.

Naviance is a college and career planning resource where students can do college searching and comparing, compare their test scores and GPA with students from Lincoln that applied and were accepted to schools (see diagram below), look at post-high school opportunities, scholarship information, see when schools are visiting, and much more!   A handy "how to" guide is available to get you started!

Students have personalized passwords to access Naviance where they can keep records of their activities, grades, and college and/or career interests. If a student needs a password, they should come to the Counseling Center and a volunteer can help them sign in for the first time or they can reset their password, if forgotten, from the Naviance log in page.  Students and parents are encouraged to explore the possibilities of this program.
