Senior Year & Graduation 2016

Seniors Finals Tuesday, May 31st Wednesday, June 1st

Seniors - Clear Your Library & Textbooks Accounts NOW

The end is near! Senior check-out fast approaching! Get a head start and start clearing your library and textbook accounts. Those with no fines on Sr. checkout day will receive ‘fast passes’ and will avoid long lines. This may not seem like a big deal now, but when the sun is shining and everyone is heading out to do something fun- you do not want to get left behind. Monday, May 9th is the last day seniors can check books out in the library- unless needed for classes.

Senior Breakfast: Buy Your Ticket Before 5/27

Senior breakfast will be at the Tiffany Center before the Senior Awards Assembly., on June 2 at 8:30 AM. Pay $20 to Mrs. Ross in Room 104 to cover the cost of breakfast and senior tee-shirts by May 27. Make checks out to Lincoln High School and put name and the word "breakfast" on the memo.

Senior Grad Party

Reminder to send in your Registration/Release form and payment. If you’re not sure if you have turned in your paperwork A MASTER LIST IS POSTED IN SENIOR HALL TO VERIFY IF PAYMENT AND RELEASE FORM HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. You can print out the graduation party waiver/medical form and submit it with the registration fee ($100, payable to LHS PTSO) to the Senior Grad Party Mail box in the main office. Need a scholarship? Please see LHS Bookkeeper, Jill Ross.  jross2@pps.net Questions? Contact: Maria Cheadle @ mcheadle5@gmail.com

In addition to meeting credit requirements and passing state tests in reading, writing and math, all PPS graduates complete three Personalized Learning Diploma Requirements (PLRs):

1. A short reflection on a Career Related Learning Experience

2. Resume`

3. My Plan Essay. The resume and My Plan Essay are assignments in Senior English, but you can complete your CRLE reflection any time after you complete a job shadow, internship, career-related field trip, etc. Find the 2016 CRLE Reflection assignment in the ABOUT ME tab in Naviance.

A Career Related Learning Experience can offer you a unique topic for a college essay or scholarship interview. Exploring your interests and career options can also help you determine your next steps after high school. See Career Coordinator Meg Kilmer in the Counseling about job shadowing, career day events and volunteering. She has career assessments and college research tools for students too.
