Senior Reminder - 60 Day Rule Begins April 4th

 

Seniors will be disqualified from participation in commencement exercises and related activities if within 60 consecutive calendar days of the last senior school day if they are found to be in violation of District Alcohol or Drug policy or any violation resulting in three or more days of suspension or more serious disciplinary action.

Welcome to your senior year! The last day for seniors will be June 3rd. Graduation is June 9, 2014 at Memorial Coliseum. There will be a Mandatory rehearsal at 9:30a.m. June 9th.

The LHS Counseling office sets up over 100 college visits, most of which happen in the Fall. The visits are either in the Counseling office or in room 169 at lunch or right after school. We will post visit information in the Daily Bulletin and click here to get the current list.


 

Graduation Ceremony Prep

Graduation is an exciting time and students and families eagerly look forward to the festivities. Please be sure support LHS and your participation in the ceremony by following student handbook policies.

Order a cap and gown (Fall): Contact www.jostenspdx.com . All students are required to wear a cap and gown to be part of the ceremony. Please contact your student's counselor if you have any questions. Jostens will be here on April 15th to deliver orders.

Senior check-out (end of May): All seniors are required to pay any LHS fees prior to receiving graduation tickets and their physical diploma. Letters detailing unpaid fee (i.e. lost textbooks, library and parking fees) information are sent out in early May.  

Important Senior Dates: May 16th all CORRESPONDENCE SCHOOLS grades due (PSU, BYU etc); May 31st CRLE Due; June 2nd & 3rd final exams; June 4th Senior Breakfast/Senior Awards Assembly, June 9th  Rehearsal 9:30am at Memorial Coliseum; Commencement 8:00pm at Memorial Coliseum

Graduation tickets (after senior check-out in June): All graduating seniors will receive 10 tickets each after clearing fees at the senior check-out. Students can request more tickets after the check-out is complete at the mandatory rehearsal practice.

Graduation location and parking: The ceremony will be held at the Memorial Coliseum June 9 at 8p. This is a formal ceremony and students are expected to honor conduct guidelines. Parking fees apply as posted, there is no free or validated parking. Families needing information about handicap access should contact the Coliseum directly.

Senior All-Night Grad Party (follows ceremony):  Students and parents can print out the graduation party waiver/medical form and submit it with the registration fee ($100, payable to LHS PTSO. Check your fall registration receipt to see if you've paid this amount already--if so, just send in the form) to the senior grad party mail box in the main office.
