Mediachannel.org is a public interest website on global media issues. It features criticism and investigative reporting about the media from hundreds of organizations worldwide.

Take Back the Media is a cooperative project by progressive American citizens dismayed at what they see as pro-government, pro-corporate bias shown by American media. In addition, they advocate using economic boycotts and other nonviolent action to bring back responsibility to the corporate media.

The Media Research Center (MRC) is a conservative media watchdog organization concerned with what it perceives to be a liberal bias in the news and entertainment media. In 1995 it opened the Parents Television Council to bring family programming back to television. MRC publishes the monthly newsletters Media Watch and Notable Quotables.

Center for Media Literacy: (CML) is a media education organization. CML seeks to give the public power over the media by fostering media literacy. The center publishes the quarterly Media & Values.

Center for Media and Public Affairs: (CMPA) is a research organization that studies the media treatment of social and political affairs. It uses surveys to measure the media's influence on public opinion. It publishes the monthly Media Monitor, the monograph A Day of Television Violence, and various other books, articles, and monographs.

Fair is a nonprofit progressive media watch organization has been offering well-documented criticism of media bias and censorship since 1986.
