Dear Parents, Families, Teachers and Community Members:
We are excited to announce the theme for the 1st Annual King School Auction—“I have a dream…” Please save the date of May 4, 2012 on your calendars and join us all at The North Star Ballroom for an evening of community and festivities.
Funds raised at the auction will be used to support programs to enrich our children’s lives. These programs include more classes offered during the SUN program, Ethos, courtyard garden project/program, visual arts, and physical education options.
Get Involved
! It’s not too early to donate an item, become a sponsor/business partner, orvolunteer for the event. We invite you to get involved! There are many opportunities in which you can participate. Our volunteer committee chairperson is Caroline Revard, you can contact her via email: carolinerevard@gmail.com
We Need Your Donations and your help to make this Auction a success. We are asking that you consider donating an item or two. Have a connection in the community? Why not procure your donation from a local business that you have a continued relationship with? Remember no donation is too small or too big.
Some donation ideas:
Donate your time: are you a contractor, house cleaner, landscaper, handyperson, caregiver, etc.??
Host a party: Theme parties such as 50’s bowling, or picnic in a park, gourmet dinner

Frequently Asked Questions About Auction Items
Do I have to stick with the suggested donation ideas?
No. What we are looking for are new (unused) items, or beautiful one of a kind antiques, services, artwork and experiences. The items listed are only ideas that have been successful at other auctions. Be creative!
How important is the Auction Donation Form?
The forms are very important. Please complete the ENTIRE form and be sure to include a detailed description of your donation as it is vital to the auction catalog write-up – we want to present your donation in the best possible way. The information is used for inventory, the auction catalog and tax receipt purposes.
What about gift certificates?
Certificates are great. If you do not have an official gift certificate, we can create a certificate. Simply fill out the form with all of the relevant information.

When is the donation deadline?
All family donation forms must be received no later than Friday, April 4, 2012. Business donations will be accepted later, but preferred earlier.
