Homework
Read 30 minutes each evening. There will be math, reading, and spelling homework throughout the week. Parents should look for their child's planner and sign the bottom portion. I will be looking for signatures and giving smiley faces to those who have signed planners returned. On Friday, I show an educational video or provide a game time to those who have all their week's homework complete. For those who did not finish reading or turn in their homework, they will sit with me and finish.
Classroom Management
There are 3 systems set in place for this year. Depending on how the class responds to each will determine if I keep or change the systems.
Individual- Each child's goal is to stay in the bull's eye of the dartboard!
Table Groups- Each table group is trying to reach the finish line first. The table group that does receives a prize!
Whole Group- When the entire class receives 12 paper smiley faces, they get an extra recess or a popcorn party!
