October 2014

Dear James John Community,

I am excited to lead James John as your new principal.

As you know, Principal Beth Shelby is on leave to take care of a surgery and Superintendent Smith took this opportunity to bring me from Glencoe Elementary in Southeast Portland to lead James John. Principal Shelby will lead Glencoe when she is back from her leave.

I come to James John from the Salem-Keizer School District where I worked with an elementary school very much like James John. The teaching staff and I were able to support students in making great gains in achievement. I look forward to supporting the James John team to do the same.

I am excited to meet James John families. If you have questions or just want to say hello, please know that my door is always open. Read more.
