Mandarin Chinese Immersion Program Entrance Information (To Be Updated for School Year 2011~2012)
Hosford currently offers Mandarin Chinese language classes and content courses taught in Mandarin Chinese. This specialized three-year program focuses on increasing students’ Mandarin language proficiency toward an Advanced level while developing a higher level of multicultural understanding.
Current Woodstock Mandarin Immersion Program Students
Students in the Mandarin Immersion Program (MIP) cohort at Woodstock Elementary School are automatically assigned to Hosford, and they do not need to complete the School Choice form.
Applicants Not Enrolled as Woodstock Mandarin Immersion Program StudentsDepending on space availability, Hosford may be able to accept applicants who are not currently enrolled as part of the Mandarin Immersion Program cohort at Woodstock. These applicants will be required to do the following by Date to be updated:
- Complete and submit a School Choice application form (available online Date to be updated).
- Complete a proficiency interview with a Hosford Mandarin Immersion Program teacher. Please contact the MIP Curriculum Specialist Kojo Hakam at dhakam@pps.net or 503-916-2000 x70382, to schedule an appointment.
