Welcome to Kindergarten in Room 3

Falling into fall....

Welcome to Room 3!

As your child's Kindergarten teacher, please know that connection with the family is very important to me in ensuring a sound education for your child.  My interests are to provide the best education that one can deliver, to be the initiator in laying the foundation for future learning successes and mainly to embrace an eager child into the formal school setting.  I am looking forward to a great year!

 Getting Started

September is an exciting time for Kindergartners.  The start of school, meeting new friends and the beginning of new learning adventures will fill our days quickly!  There are so many new events to adjust to, but the process is taken in tiny steps so that all of us will thrive!  For starters, my best recommendation to a successful school year starts right at home.  A few pointers are listed below.  As always any additional suggestions are certainly appreciated simply by contacting me either in person, by phone (503) 916-6300 or via e-mail at  pleroy@pps.net.

  • Start a new daily sleep schedule which requires a set bedtime.
  • Prepare your child's lunch, backpack and other supplies the night before.
  • Reinforce good behavior to carry over into the school setting, an extension of the home.
