Welcome to the Computer Lab

Our staff is fully committed to technology at Hayhurst. We have twelve brand new 20" iMacs, 15 eMacs and 14 iBook laptops in our computer lab. Every computer has Kidspiration, KidPix Deluxe, Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, Garage Band, Type to Learn, Investigations Math, Mindstorms and more. We have digital still and video cameras and Alphasmarts. We use an interactive Activboard for teaching. The entire building is networked and each classroom has a minimum of five iMacs. We enjoy the luxury of a server for storing all student and staff documents which allows students to access their folder from any computer in the building.

Every Kindergarten through 5th grade student attends computer class at least once a week. Classroom curriculum is integrated in all technology projects. Our goal is to develop technical skills that will help students be successful in middle school and beyond. We focus on word processing, desktop publishing, visual presentations, robotics and keyboarding.
