Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering at Hayhurst School is a way for parents, guardians, grandparents, friends and community members to show the children how much they value education. There are many different ways to get involved by volunteering, including evening events, take home projects, classroom activities, and field trips. The list of opportunities keeps growing. Volunteering can be done a schedule to meet your needs. We do ask that young children not accompany volunteers in classrooms or on field trips.

If you are interested in volunteering, there are a number of ways to let us know. First, you can fill out the form in your opening day packet. You can also contact a PTA representative, your child's teacher, or the office. All volunteers required to complete a criminal check. Please always sign in at the office and obtain a volunteer button to wear while you are in the building. When you volunteer everyone wins . . . the children, the teachers, and you!
