What's Happening This Month in the Library....
SEPTEMBER
Welcome back! Library classes begin the second week of school. Each classroom is scheduled to visit the library for 30 minutes every week. We read a story together and then students check out a book!
OCTOBER
Fall into a good book for Halloween! There are a many good books to read in the library. Pumpkins, ghosts, and spooky stories...oh my!
NOVEMBER
The Scholastic Bookfair is here! Bring your family and come see the great books available for sale at the bookfair. A portion of the money from every purchase goes towards new books for the library's collection. The bookfair takes place in the auditorium and is open after school on the 17th and 18th, as well as during Conferences on the 21st and 22nd. Check out the library's wish list if you are interested in donating.

FEBRUARY Valentine's Day President's Day Gearing up for Read Across America! MARCH March is African American Heritage Month. Books featuring prominent African Americans are on display in the library. On March 2nd we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday and Read Across America! During the month I will be reading different Dr. Seuss books and students will help decorate their classroom doors based on one of Dr. Seuss's books. Here's a super fun and informative Dr. Seuss website called Seussville. APRIL April is National Poetry Month! MAY This is the last month students will be coming to the library. All library books are due at the end of May! May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Click on the links below for more information: May 8th is MOTHER’S DAY! Don’t forget to do something nice for your mother, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, or any woman who is special to you! Do something special to show her how much she’s appreciated.
