Grant Cross Country has a two-fold mission:
1) We challenge our top runners to develop in a responsible manner in order to put them in position for great success in college.
2) We encourage all runners to develop a life long love of distance running.
Our team welcomes runners of all ability levels and expects them to break through barriers on their way to top performances. Many students join the team expecting a "rec team" experience with low expectations and soon realize that this team is built on an expectation of total commitment to maximal performance. By overcoming adversity, the essence of an endurance sport, students learn much about themselves, and in the course of a season have a life-changing experience. Led by some truly charismatic seniors, we have a culture of excellence that permeates our team.
