Glencoe Elementary School

Every December, Madam Li-bear-ian invites all students to bring guests to her month long party. Students are invited to bring up to five bears (stuffed of course!) to have a swinging time after everyone is gone at night. Strange things happen in the library during Bear Month, like books falling off the shelves, movie screens that are never used being left down, computers turned on and bears not in the places they were left. Even the big bears want to get in on the fun and come visit, leaving footprints on the walls as they travel through the library and out the back door! We spend the month learning about bears and reading bear stories. It's a great time that is looked forward to by all the students. This year (2010) we had over 300 bears in the library.
