Diana Collins
In Ms. Collins' 6th grade Language Arts class students learn to use reading strategies to become more effective readers; also, students engage as writers by creating Narrative stories, Expository essays, and Persuassive projects.
Students will read novels, use technology, and demonstrate effective speaking skills while exploring a variety of subjects. Students will share their writing and critical thinking through discussion groups and class presentations.
Class Mission Statement
Everyday is a moment we can all improve our reading, writing, and thinking skills. Continually working to improve these skills will enhance our communication with one another, and ultimately strengthen our community.
Ms. Collins' class is committed to developing strong readers, effective writers, and critical thinkers. We, as a class, strive to become great readers, writers and thinkers through hard work, as well as a commitment to learning.
Along with working hard in the classroom, Ms. Collins acknowledges the importance of building a cohesive team between students, teachers, parents, and families. Together we can create the most successful and dynamic educational experience possible for our children.
