This year we will be using our EMC Grammar & Writing books nearly every day for the classroom warm-up.
Classroom novels we'll be reading throughout the year are The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and Whale Rider by Witi Ihimaera. We will also read short stories, novel excerpts, and poetry from our EMC Literature books.
Students will receive spelling homework packets at the beginning of each week and they will be due at the end of the week. Students who have not completed packets upon the due dates will not be allowed to take that week's spelling test. As a result, the student will receive a zero for that week's spelling test. Any additional homework that I assign will be due the following class session unless otherwise stated.
