Title 1
Title 1... A Federal Program that Helps Our Kids
George Middle School is a Title 1 school. That means we receive money from the government to help our school. We were able to add 2 1/2 teachers this year, plus we have teacher leaders that are paid from Title 1. We also have funds to pay for our teachers to be trained in new methods, to buy books and supplies, and to get new computers. We love Title 1. The way we qualify is based on how many students get free and reduced lunch. Thanks to our families for turning in those forms so we can get as much money as possible!

We get money each year to help support our family activities, which include parent nights put on by AVID, CASASTART and SUN Community School, Back-to-School Night, parent groups, and many other events and activities. Do you have ideas on how we can best serve you by spending this money? If so, email principal Beth Madison at bmadison@pps.net.
