Why I Teach: I learn something new every day and getting to share what I learn is a plus. I love that I get to work with students and their teachers. I also happen to enjoy teenagers and their honesty and humor. It is a delight to see them becoming aware of the world around them and how they want to make it better.
What I Believe: I am here to help. I will listen. I want students to feel confident about finding information on their own so they will become life long users of the library and its services.
Who Inspires Me: My principal, Shay James, who has the toughest job and works so hard. Franklin has some of the best teachers. I would love to take their classes!
My Favorite Things: Being outdoors! I love to bike on Sauvie’s Island, hike anywhere in the gorge or Mt. Hood area, bird watch, walk my dogs up Mt. Tabor, tend my small garden in the summer, explore new restaurants and bookstores.
