Welcome!!! My name is Mrs. Brown. I have been teaching in the district for 8 years. I have taught 1st grade, 2nd grade and 6th grade. This is my second year teaching Kindergarten at Faubion School. I am super excited to be teaching Kindergarten and to experience the adventurous journey of these beloved children. January has come and went. We have had a month full of fun. February brings us into lots of holidays and celebrations. During Black History Month, we will be learning about several famous African Americans who have helped shaped our country. We will learn about Groundhog's Day, President's Day, and Valentine's Day. Our school is hosting a Friendship Dance on the 14th, come check it out. See your February School Activities Sheet for details. Oh and Room 1 has a special day planned for Valentine's Day. You don't want to miss it! During our final week in February, we will learn how to take care of our teeth, as it is also National Dental Month! Wheeww! We will be busy to say the least.
Your students are coming along so well in their literacy and math skills. If you would like to know your child's score on their literacy assessments, please contact me.

There will be NO SCHOOL Friday, February 3, 2012 due to Teacher's Planning Day. Report cards will be sent home the following Friday on February 10.
Late opening Wednesday, February 15 starts at 10:30am. There will be NO Breakfast or SNACK served.
Movin' On Up night will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 5:30-6:30pm
There will be NO SCHOOL Monday, February 20, 2012 due to President's Day.
Spring Pictures will be Wednesday February 29.
