Portland Public Schools recognizes the diversity and worth of all individuals and groups and their roles in society. It is the policy of the Portland Public School Board that there will be no discrimination or harassment of individuals or groups on the grounds of age, color, creed, disability, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex or sexual orientation in any educational programs, activities or employment.
About Me
It is my goal to help my students become fluent in their first and second language, Spanish. This means that they are not only able to speak the language but do academic work in that language as well.
I lived in a Spanish speaking country for five years and speak Spanish at home with my family, so I understand what it means to learn another language.
I have taught ESL, Spanish and Spanish Immersion to k-10th Grade in the U.S. and overseas for the past ten years. I studied ESL, Bilingual Education and Spanish History and Literature as an undergraduate and have my Masters in Teaching in ESL and Bilingual Education. I am also fully certified to teach Language Arts and Social Studies at the Middle School level.
Links
Your children can access their grades with their student number and the password that I will give them in-class. Please email me if you would like that information for your child.
