Text Responsibilities
HELPFUL HINTS – Your BOOK responsibilities and price list
Check ALL your books carefully (ripped or missing pages, torn bindings, writing, excessive graffiti, etc.) If there ARE problems with a textbook, return it to the teacher BEFORE September 29th, report the damage(s), and get a different book (if available).
Print your name (0nly once, please) inside the FRONT cover of EACH book. Please, use your First and Last name (no initials or nicknames).
COVER all your textbooks
- It keeps the book clean
- You may use stretch covers. (Be careful not to doodle on stretch covers. The pressure and ink may damage the book)
- Without taping it to the book, brown paper grocery bags make great covers
- Do not use any “contact paper” type covers – there will be a cleaning charge assessed
- If you catch the problems when they’re small, they usually don’t cost you anything
A book that “disappears” is NOT a “stolen” book if you left it in a classroom, in the restroom, on a table in the library, on the bus, or lying on the floor in the hallway.
