STATE AFFILIATION: The Duniway PTA is affiliated with the National PTA and the Oregon PTA and as such is governed by Unified Local Unit Bylaws and the Oregon PTA Bylaws.
ANNUAL DUES: Annual Duniway PTA dues shall be set at a level sufficient to cover the payment of dues to the National PTA and the Oregon PTA with an increment to fund the Duniway PTA set at the discretion of the PTA officers. The solicitation for membership shall clearly state the amount of National and State dues and the separate Duniway optional suggested dues.
FISCAL YEAR: July 1st to June 30th
QUORUM MEETINGS: Quorum for each general meeting shall be 9 voting members. Regular (general) meetings of this association shall be held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 pm. If there isn’t any business, our meetings will be held every other month. Exception: Move to the next Tuesday if a holiday falls on the regular meeting schedule. In order to expedite meetings while still allowing everyone equal speaking time, the following Two (2) Minute Rule applies. For every topic discussed, each person will have the opportunity of up to two (2) minutes to speak. Individuals wishing to speak will get the chance to be heard, before we have additional comments from those who have already spoken.
OFFICERS: The officers of this association shall be: 1 (or 2) Presidents, 1 (or 2) Vice Presidents, 1 (or 2) Treasurers, 1 Secretary. Election of officers shall be at the second to last PTA meeting of the year and the officers shall assume duties on July 1st.
ORDER OF BUSINESS: The order of business for meeting of this association shall be set by the Board prior to the first PTA meeting and shall include:

Other Programs & Topics
STANDING COMMITTEES: The standing committees of this association shall be set by the Board based on the organizational needs of the PTA and shall include: Audit Committee, Directory, Kindergarten Round Up, Membership & Website. Additionally, Fundraising, Community Building and Program Enrichment Committees may be approved by the Board based on membership interest. The Board will maintain a public list of current Fundraising, Community Building and Program Enrichment Committees.
SPECIAL COMMITTEES: The Board may appoint special committees as deemed appropriate. Special committees go out of existence when the work is completed and the final report is received by the board.
OFFICER NOMINATIONS: Current Board members will be responsible for recruiting incoming board members and committee chairs for approval at the next to last regular PTA meeting of the year.
