The sale will start on Sept 20 and go through Oct 15th. Order forms will be in the office, hallway across from the auditorium and sent home with all students. Completed orders go in the office mailbox marked "Chinook Books" with checks made out to "Duniway PTA". Please include your child's teacher/room number, so books can be sent home with them. The PTA Clothing Center is located at Marshall High School and distributes clothing, shoes, backpacks, etc., to families in need whose children attend Portland Public Schools. Coordinate, gather and assist the Duniway faculty/staff with food and gifts for Duniway families that are in need of some help during the December holidays. The Duniway community helps with purchasing food and gifts. The faculty and staff deliver the boxes of food and gifts right before the holiday break in December. - Dining for Dollars Nikki Metcalf

- Home Tour Michele Delaney
Be a part of a neighborhood holiday tradition that is 31 years strong! This year's event takes place on Friday, December 3rd and features six lovely homes in Eastmoreland and its surrounding neighborhoods. Plenty of hands make this event possible. Sign up to be a tour "Angel" who guides visitors through the home, assist in ticket sales or help coordinate the Holiday Boutique. The Boutique is a component of the Holiday Home Tour, offering a wide range of creative gift items from local artists and artisans. The coordinator selects vendors based on their merchandise, coordinates contracts and volunteers, and manages the financial aspects of the sale. - Hospitality (open)
The Hospitality committee hosts the First Day of School "Meet and Greet" for Kindergarten parents, organizes and provides dinners for teachers during November conferences, and may also help with food/drink at the Art Faire and end of the school year celebrations. - Ice Cream Social Elise Christman

Fun, games, food, prizes and more are at the annual Spring Carnival at Duniway. Families volunteer to host each game and attraction, contributing to the "fun" in this fundraising event. - Spring Dance Monica Harding

Planning spring parade at end of school year. Involves obtaining permits, arranging for 5th grade band and Sellwood band, notifying teachers and DAS staff, purchasing popsicles (often can get donation from Safeway), and informing neighbors along parade route (via flyers), and setting up day of parade (with help from janitor) - Talent Show (open)
The Talent Show Committee organizes and promotes Duniway's Got Talent, which will be held Feb. 18th, 2011. After school rehearsals will begin January 10th. - Teacher Appreciation Jennifer Bamer & Katie Clem
Coordinate efforts to provide something special for the Duniway teachers and staff during the designated week to let them how much they are appreciated. This typically takes the form of lunches or treats, but can be anything mutually agreed upon by the committee chairs and the Duniway teachers and staff.

Help organize the many elements that go into the creation and distribution of the Duniway Yearbook. Committee member responsibilities include taking and organizing pictures, collecting orders, class parent liaisons, content proofing, and distribution.
