Traffic & Parking at da Vinci:
Please help us be a good neighbor, by traveling EAST on Everett when dropping off/picking up your student. If planning to stay awhile, please park in the lot behind the school. For special events, please use the blacktop. And be sure that even at pick-up or drop off time that you are not blocking a neighbor's driveway. THANKS!

Run for the Arts is coming!
Pledge drive kick-off September 17th

All 6th graders need to be at school on Sunday, October 26th by 2:50 pm. Buses leave promptly at 3:00 pm. Parents, please do not park in front of the school, as that;s where the buses need to park!

School Conferences are earlier this year!
October 28th 4-8 pm (classes are 8:30-3:00)
October 29th 8:00 am-3:30pm (no classes)
October 30th 8:00 am - 8:00 pm (no classes)
October 31st no classes or conferences
Until Friday 9/26 paper conference sign up sheets are in the hallway outside the main office.  On Monday we finalize the transition to an online system and on Tuesday, September 30th it will launch. Stay tuned for details!

Get Ready site helps students chart path

PPS wants to make it easier for students to navigate the path to college and career. Career coordinators and school counselors teamed up with the Parent Coalition with support from the Nike School Innovation Fund to create the Get Ready for College & Career website. 


Board invests in key learning priorities

The Portland School Board voted 6-1 Sept. 23 to hire about 40 new teachers and high school support staff, immediately spending $3.5 million of a $16.8 million budget improvement for 2014-15.
