In 1961 when Assistance League of Portland became a part of National Assistance League, the Children's Dental Center was adopted as its primary philanthropic project. The time coincided with the end of a service formerly provided by Multnomah County Dental Society for children who would not otherwise receive dental care.
Each year we provide care for over 2,500 children kindergarten through grade 12 in the Portland Public School system. Our Children's Dental Center is located at Creston School and eligible children are referred by the schools. The estimated value of our service is $500,000 each year.
