Conrad Hurdle

Creston welcomes a new principal!

Mr. Conrad Hurdle started with PPS 14 years ago as a third and fourth grade teacher. Over the last decade, he has served as the administrator at Hollyrood Elementary School and the Whitaker-­‐Rice Sixth Grade Center, assistant principal at Rosa Parks Elementary School and, starting in 2009, principal at Ockley Green PK-­8.

Mr. Hurdle is looking forward to listening to teachers, parents and students about what they love about Creston and working with them to tell Creston’s story.

School Board adopts budget for 2013-14 school year and Affirmative Action policy

On June 17 the Portland School Board formally adopted a $487 million budget for the 2013-14 school year, by a vote of 6-0. The board had previously approved the budget in May. The budget adds teachers district-wide, prioritizes equity in allocating staff to schools, and allows high school students to take full course loads. [More]

Community advisory group meets to plan Roosevelt High School rebuild
